A first in Brazil: LTM 1110-5.2 with new LICCON3 crane control
Efficiency, performance and technology prove decisive
Over 30 years of cooperation between Liebherr and Tatuapé
The Brazilian crane and heavy transport company Guindastes Tatuapé has expanded its crane fleet with a new LTM 1110-5.2. The 110-tonne model is therefore the first crane type from Liebherr to be shipped to Brazil with the new LICCON3 control system. Innovative technology, performance and many years of partnership played a key role in the purchase.
Ehingen (Donau) (Germany), 28 January 2025 – With the new Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane, the crane and heavy transport company Guindastes Tatuapé, based in São Paulo/SP, is expanding its fleet further. The company already has several mobile cranes from Liebherr in the 100 to 120-tonne class that deliver efficiency and performance. The five-axle new addition is the ideal complement and will be used in the oil and gas, industrial and mining sectors.
Modern technology and efficiency combined
Guindastes Tatuapé and Liebherr have been close partners for over 30 years. “We really value the trusting cooperation and product quality: Liebherr also provides superb customer support locally”, explains Marcelo Monteiro, Sales Manager at Guindastes Tatuapé. When it came to the procurement of the new Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane, the Brazilian crane company attached great importance to technological innovations and appealing design. The 110-tonne crane, which also sports a new visual design thanks to the switch to the third generation of the LICCON control system, offers both. “The system is intuitive to use, offers fast response times and better visualisation thanks to its large display”, says Monteiro, praising the new crane control system.
The crane also boasts state-of-the-art technologies such as the adjustable VarioBase® Plus support base and modifiable VarioBallast® ballast radius. They make jobs safer and more flexible. The TraXon DynamicPerform ZF gear system ensures greater efficiency and lower maintenance costs. The innovative clutch module allows wear-free starting and manoeuvring.
The outstanding properties of the LTM 1110-5.2 include its high load capacities and powerful telescopic boom. “The 60-metre-long boom achieves tremendous lifting heights, which makes the use of larger and more expensive models of crane unnecessary. The LTM 1110-5.2 is therefore the ideal solution for efficient lifting operations and allows us and our customers to save money”, says Monteiro, adding: “The crane can carry with it a lot of ballast when driving on roads without needing an additional vehicle for transport. This is another point that helps to reduce costs.”
